Technical SEO audit services in India

Crawl and index coverage, structured-data repair, Core Web Vitals and INP, internal linking and cannibalisation — audited properly and handed over as a prioritised fix list with file paths. Run remotely for clients across India, the US, the UK, Canada and Australia by the team that builds the sites, so the fixes are written in the language your developer works in.

Short version. A one-off technical audit is ₹15,000. Local SEO retainers start at ₹20,000 per month. Post-migration recovery starts at ₹35,000 per project. Those are the same numbers we quote in Ranchi — we do not price by city, and we do not sell packages by keyword count. If your problem turns out to be content rather than code, we will say so before you pay us.

What a technical audit actually covers

Six passes, run in this order because nothing downstream matters while the crawl and index layer is broken. A crawler export with 4,000 warnings in it is not an audit — the work is deciding which forty of them are costing you traffic.

1 · Crawl and response codes

Every URL fetched and logged. Redirect chains and loops, 404s still linked from live templates, soft 404s Google is quietly dropping, canonical tags pointing at the wrong page or at themselves in a paginated set, and orphan pages that exist in the sitemap but are linked from nowhere. This pass is where most of the damage on a rebuilt site turns up.

2 · Index coverage

What Google has actually indexed, taken from Search Console rather than from your sitemap. Crawled-currently-not-indexed and discovered-currently-not-indexed buckets read page by page, robots.txt against meta robots conflicts, parameter and faceted URLs burning crawl budget, and duplicate clusters where Google has picked a canonical you did not choose.

3 · Structured data and schema repair

Every JSON-LD block validated against current Google requirements. Invalid item types, review markup on types Google does not grant stars for, @id references that resolve to nothing in the graph, BreadcrumbList nodes missing itemListElement, FAQ markup with no visible counterpart on the page. Then rebuilt so it validates in the Rich Results Test rather than merely parsing.

4 · Core Web Vitals and INP

Field data from CrUX alongside a lab run, because the two routinely disagree and only one of them is what your users get. LCP element identified per template, CLS traced to the element that moves, and INP profiled against the specific handler blocking the main thread. Mobile-first, on connection speeds that reflect Indian networks rather than an office fibre line.

5 · Internal linking and anchor text

A map of how authority moves through the site. Money pages sitting four clicks from the homepage, navigation links repeated on every template drowning the contextual ones, anchor text that says read more on every link, and hub pages that link out but are never linked back to. Cheap to fix and consistently under-used.

6 · Cannibalisation and intent

Where two or more of your own pages compete for one query, Google picks one and it is often the weaker. We match Search Console query data to landing pages, find the overlaps, and decide per cluster whether to merge, differentiate or redirect. On sites with a location or service page template this is usually the largest single win available.

Want to try the first pass yourself before paying anyone? Our 60-minute website SEO audit guide walks the same route with free tools, and Core Web Vitals tracking setup gets you field data of your own. The Core Web Vitals 2026 guide covers INP in detail, and the SEO glossary defines the terms used above.

Migration recovery: 38 of 40 keywords back in 60 days

A Ranchi agency migrated from WordPress to Next.js without URL mapping or structured-data migration. Inside 60 days they lost page one for their entire city-level keyword set and organic leads fell to near zero. We recovered old URLs from Wayback and 16 months of Search Console history, built a 301 map covering 140 URLs, rebuilt Organization, LocalBusiness and Service schema from scratch, and pushed priority pages back through inspection and reindexing.

Full method and timeline: Local SEO recovery after a WordPress-to-Next.js migration. The client is anonymised at their request; the work and the numbers are not. If you are planning a replatform rather than repairing one, read how to migrate from WordPress to Next.js without losing SEO first — it is considerably cheaper than recovery.

SEO pricing

one-off

Technical SEO audit

₹15,000

All six passes above, delivered as a prioritised fix list with file paths where we have repository access, plus the raw crawl export, the structured-data report and field Core Web Vitals numbers. Five to seven working days under roughly 500 URLs. Yours to implement in-house or hand to any developer.

per month

Local SEO retainer

from ₹20,000

Ongoing work on a single-location business — Google Business Profile, NAP consistency, citations, on-page and internal linking, monthly reporting against queries rather than vanity positions. Scales with the number of service and location pages being worked, not with a keyword count.

per project

Migration recovery

from ₹35,000

Rankings lost after a replatform. URL recovery from Wayback and Search Console history, a 301 map covering every URL worth keeping, schema rebuilt to pre-migration coverage, accelerated reindexing of priority pages. Quoted properly once we know how much of the old structure survived.

Prices are in Indian rupees and match our Ranchi SEO page exactly. Audit and implementation are billed separately on purpose — you should never be in a position where the people finding the problems are the only people who can price the cure. Where SEO is one channel in a wider plan, see digital marketing services.

Who this is for — and who it is not for

Worth your money if

  • You have a real site with real traffic history and something has gone wrong you cannot name.
  • You migrated, replatformed or redesigned, and rankings fell.
  • Search Console is showing coverage or structured-data errors you do not know how to read.
  • You have a developer who can act on a fix list, or you want us to do the implementation.
  • You want to know what is actually broken before you commit to a monthly retainer.

Not worth your money if

  • You want a package priced by keyword count — we do not sell one, at any number.
  • You want guaranteed page-one rankings or a guaranteed timeline. Nobody can honestly sell that.
  • You want bought links, PBNs or a directory blast. We do not do it and it is not a gap in the service.
  • The site is brand new with no history and no content. An audit will tell you what you already know; spend the ₹15,000 on the content instead.
  • You cannot give Search Console access. Without query and coverage history the audit is guesswork and we would rather say so than bill for it.
  • You want local-pack rankings in a city where you have no premises. That is not a code problem and no amount of schema fixes it.

Still deciding whether to hire at all? We wrote the honest version of that comparison: in-house SEO versus an agency. For a lot of teams with an existing marketer, a one-off audit plus in-house implementation is the correct answer and the cheapest one.

Frequently asked

  • How much does a technical SEO audit cost in India?A one-off technical audit is ₹15,000. That covers a full crawl, index-coverage review in Search Console, structured-data validation, Core Web Vitals and INP measurement, internal-link and cannibalisation mapping, and a prioritised fix list. Local SEO retainers start at ₹20,000 per month and scale with the number of service and location pages being worked. Migration recovery starts at ₹35,000 per project and is quoted properly once we know how much of the old URL structure survived. Those are the same numbers quoted on our Ranchi SEO page — we do not price by city.
  • What is included in a technical SEO audit?A full crawl for status codes, redirect chains, canonical conflicts, orphan pages and soft 404s; an index-coverage review against Search Console showing what Google has actually indexed rather than what you submitted; structured-data validation against current Google requirements, including invalid item types and unresolved @id references; Core Web Vitals and INP measured on real page loads, not just a lab score; internal-link and anchor-text mapping; a keyword cannibalisation pass; and a title, heading and metadata review. You get a prioritised list — impact against effort, with exact file paths where we have repository access — rather than a PDF of crawler warnings.
  • How long does the audit take and what do I actually receive?Five to seven working days for a site under roughly 500 URLs, longer for large catalogues or multi-language sites. You receive a written fix list ordered by impact against effort, the raw crawl export, a structured-data validation report per template, field and lab Core Web Vitals numbers, and a redirect or canonical map where the crawl turns one up. Everything is handed over in a form your own developer can act on without us. If you would rather see the shape of the work first, our free how-to guide walks through a 60-minute version you can run yourself.
  • Do you fix the issues or only report them?Either. Most clients take the fix list to their own developer, which is why it ships with file paths and specific instructions rather than vague advice. If you want the work done, we implement it — schema rebuilds, redirect maps, Core Web Vitals and INP work, template-level metadata and internal linking — quoted separately from the audit so you are never paying us to find work we then bill you to do without your say-so.
  • Can you recover rankings lost after a website migration or replatform?Yes — it is the work we have documented most thoroughly. The usual causes are unmapped URLs, structured data that was never carried across, and canonicals pointing at the wrong place. The method is old-URL recovery from Wayback and Search Console history, a 301 map covering every URL worth keeping, schema rebuilt to match pre-migration coverage, then accelerated reindexing of priority pages. On a Ranchi client migrating WordPress to Next.js that produced 38 of 40 priority keywords back on page one inside 60 days, a 140-URL redirect map, and organic traffic at 108% of pre-migration levels by day 90. Recovery starts at ₹35,000 per project.
  • Do you sell SEO packages by keyword count? No. We do not sell keyword-count packages and we will not quote you for 10, 25 or 50 keywords. A keyword count tells you nothing about difficulty, intent or commercial value, and it pushes an agency towards easy terms nobody searches. The deliverable here is the fix list and the work — what is broken, in what order it should be fixed, and what it costs to fix it. If a keyword is not worth chasing, we say so rather than billing you to chase it.
  • Do Core Web Vitals and INP actually affect rankings? They are a real but secondary signal. A page with genuinely better content will outrank a faster page almost every time — so Core Web Vitals work rarely rescues a site that is losing on relevance. Where it does matter is at the margin between comparable pages, and in the conversion numbers, where a poor INP is measurably losing you form submissions. We measure field data from CrUX alongside a Lighthouse run, because lab scores routinely disagree with what real users experience on Indian mobile networks. If your problem is index coverage or thin content, we will tell you that instead of selling you a performance sprint.
  • What is schema repair and why would my structured data need fixing? Most sites either have no structured data or have it wrong in ways Search Console reports as critical. The common failures we find: review stars on a Service type, which Google has not granted since 2019 and which risks it discarding all structured data on the page; @id references pointing at nodes that do not exist in the graph; BreadcrumbList nodes missing itemListElement; FAQ markup that does not appear anywhere in the visible page, which is a policy violation; and dateModified stamped with the build date so every page claims it was updated on every deploy. Schema repair is rebuilding the graph so it validates and stays eligible.
  • Do you work with clients outside Ranchi and outside India?Yes. Technical SEO is genuinely remote work — the inputs are Search Console access, analytics and either repository access or a developer to hand the fixes to. We run audits and retainers for clients across India, the US, the UK, Canada and Australia. The one part that is geography-bound is local-pack work, which has to be tied to premises where you actually operate. For Ranchi and Jharkhand businesses there is a dedicated local page with the Google Business Profile side covered.
  • What access do you need to start?Google Search Console at least — without it we are guessing at index coverage and cannot see your query history. Analytics, ideally GA4, to tie rankings to something commercial. Repository or CMS access is optional but changes the deliverable: with it, the fix list carries exact file paths; without it, the recommendations stay at template level. If you cannot provide Search Console, we will say the audit is worth less than the ₹15,000 rather than take it anyway.
